Regina
Super Holland Cruiser with yard number 131, built by Akerboom and Van Lent – Fred J. Kemper (see photo of the builder’s plate) – was delivered on 1 April 1934 to her first owner, Mr A.G.E. Stockmann. Regina was truly at home on the Kagerplassen; from 1934 until the late 1950s, she was regularly maintained at the De Kaag yard.
Mr C. van Lent also owned the yacht himself for a period, before selling her to butcher Van der Meij in Sassenheim. In 1997, Regina was purchased in a dilapidated state by Agaath and Piet Hogervorst (Warmond) and restored over three years using original photographs, a brochure and drawings kindly provided by the Stockmann family.
In 2000, she was able to take part in Sail Amsterdam in all her restored glory. She is also well suited for long-distance travel, as shown in the photo featuring the Eiffel Tower in the background.
