Herumajo

Built in 1960 and launched as Herumajo, she still carries the same name today. From 1960 through 1979, Herumajo was owned by the Hogewoning family. We, the Van Lommel family, have been her second owners from 1979 to the present day. I, Marco van Lommel, represent the second generation—and the third is already waiting in line. So Herumajo will continue to be seen on Dutch waters, and perhaps beyond, for many years to come.

Herumajo is still powered by her original 1959 two-stroke Rootes Lister Type TS3 engines. To keep them running, I’ve sourced spare engines and parts from various countries, including New Zealand, England and Scotland. Thanks to this effort, we’re still cruising with the original Herumajo through the beautiful waterways and rivers of the Netherlands.
