Cinque Stelle
Cinque Stelle — formerly Bavaria IV
Her hull was built at the Kok yard in Muiden. On 11 July 1959, the bare steel hull arrived in Aalsmeer to be fitted out — and the fitting out took its time. She was not launched until the spring of 1962, with her interior joinery shaped by the Van der Loo furniture works in Waddinxveen, whose cabinetmakers gave her the warmth that still defines her below decks.
Her sea trials lasted three days, in March 1962. She was delivered to her first owner in May of that same year, and shortly afterwards she set a course south. The Mediterranean became her home for the next four and a half decades.
In 2007, she returned to Dutch waters for a major refit — and her second life began.
